Hi, My ds id six months and im still breast feeding him. have been really lucky no real issues, no mastitis etc. This evening i have found a small, hard, pea size lump in my right breast just under my armpit. its not really painful just a bit tender if you push hard on it.

Just got dh to check and its definatly there. Is this normal? do i need to make a gp app or will they say its just milk duct blocked?

Didnt know whether to post this here or health so did both.

Thanks for reading and advice/reassurance welcome.

Go and see the GP to get it checed. It may be a blocked milk duct but it's best to go and check.

Apply a hot flannel just before feeding, and massage it when you feed. If it goes down, - it is just a blocked milk duct!

Its probably a blocked milk duct but it will reassure you to get it checked and confirmed by the GP.

Just to update its turned out to be what they think is a small cyst as its just under the skin rather then in the breast tissue. thanks for the messages of support
