Easy Digest Milk - should I persevere.

DS is 5 months old and I recently switched to formula. He had the odd sicky day when I was BF but now it is just constant vomiting. Tried SMA Gold at first but wasn't happy with that as he was really straining for a poo. Then Cow and Gate, poos much better, more like BF ones but still sicking up lots. HV said it was just posseting. His weight gain is absolutely fine. But it's not just possetting straight after a feed - he continues to vomit between feeds and the longer it stays down the more curdled and smelly it is when it comes up. I have tried the second milk but he is even worse on this!

Today I thought I would try the Aptamil Easy Digest but DS clearly doesn't like the taste - cue lots of faces and wouldn't finish the bottle (most unlike him). Now I've read on here it has a bitter taste. However - he hasn't sicked up at all after it!

Should I persevere with this or just carry on living with the sick? Don't like to think of forcing him to eat something he doesn't like.

NB I have started weaning him - he gets porridge or baby rice with a bit of fruit or veg in it so far. I thought it would help but if he has a bottle feed after the solids he brings it up.

I'd go back to bf him if I were you. It's possible he is intolerant to cows milk, all the formulas you've given him have been thrown back at you. He's too young for solids too really, can you not hold out for another month? If he's reacting badly to formula perhaps he has a sensitive tummy, better to err on the side of caution and stick to exclusive bf for now.

watching this too as gave my ds 1 once of formula the other day and the next day he did a massive sick (never sicked even a posset before)
