Hooray! for Johann Hari

I know it's been linked to already elsewhere but thought it needed more publicity

Good article, but can you imagine his graduation day: "Today, whenever I have a success, she clutches her breasts and exclaims: "It's thanks to these!"

HeadFairy · 19/06/2008 19:56

I saw this, I was very cheered reading it. It made me think about ds in 20 or so years time accrediting his phd to me !

constancereader · 19/06/2008 19:59

That was great
It really makes a change to read something like this.

theSuburbanDryad · 19/06/2008 20:00

It is a good article but I can't help but feel he's preaching to the converted! It's in the wrong paper, that's the trouble. now, if i read an article like that - appropriately worded and dumbed down, natch - in the News of the Screws, or the Daily Diana, then i'd feel like we were getting somewhere

harpsichordcarrier · 19/06/2008 20:00

yeeeeeeeeeeees
how good to read

constancereader · 19/06/2008 20:04

Or the Times theSuburbanDryad - there is a really anti bf paper.

theSuburbanDryad · 19/06/2008 20:06

I find the Times resolutely misogynistic tbh, which is one of the reasons i stopped buying it!

Now then - who wants to spot my comment?

bluewolf · 19/06/2008 20:07

what a brilliant and cool article. It has come to me at exactly the right time as I have a 9mth old who I am still bfing but have started to feel really really awkward doing it in public (and awkward and angry when she bites me but thats another story). I know a lot of mns think the loger the better but I was sort of thinking until 1 yr would be good. Am I cutting down the amount of A grade gcses even as I consider such a thing???!!!

great article, but I agree that it is preaching to the choir somewhat!

HeadFairy · 19/06/2008 20:10

but you don't have to give up bfing if you're back at work, I'm still managing it.

Bumperlicious · 19/06/2008 20:16

You surely don't even have to give up for the sake of a girly weekend either? Couple of pumps a day where possible should see you though.

whomovedmychocolate · 19/06/2008 20:22

I read this and had a quiet cheer at lunchtime. Then printed it out and took it with me to the GPs so they could put it up on the noticeboard - preferably over the Cow and Gate adverts
