Breastfeeding nightsweats 8 months in

Hi there, I'm exclusively breastfeeding and have been having nightsweats every night for the last 15 nights. Prior to that I had them randomly here and there but this is now getting a bit too much.
I do have a doctor's appointment scheduled this week but wondered if anyone else had this with breastfeeding and found any solutions?
It could be perimenopause as I'm in my forties but also aware some people experience this with bf. A lot of supplements like sage which are recommended to help aren't recommended for breastfeeding.

Oh blimey, that sounds horrid. I had this with the first month or so of breastfeeding with both my children, but not 8 months in. So yes, it could be perimenopause. I do hope you find a reason and a solution. I hated those night sweats.

I’ve had this, I’m 8 months postpartum. My GP did blood including thyroid but they didn’t find anything and it’s just started easing off. I hope yours do too!

I BF for seemingly years when you add the DC up but it’s not something I experienced after the first month or so.

Do you have any other signs of the peri or anything else a little amiss? You’re not losing weight or anything?

I lose weight with breastfeeding anyway, I also did with my first and had no nightsweats then. So with the waking up and tiredness I'm also slimmer than usual which I dont like as my jeans don't fit right. I've lost my bum and thighs:-( I'll just breastfeed till he's one so another 4 months. Then I'm going on collagen and retinol supplements.. I've a doctor appointment this Thursday so will see what happens. Thanks for the replies.. Once I stop breastfeeding, it'll become clear what it is. I'm throwing a party then!!
