10 month old stopping breast feeding

Hi, my little boy is just 10 months, and has been happily been BF from day 1. This has been cut down to 2 feeds a day (first and last thing) for the last few months, but over the last week or so he just doesn't seem that interested (sob!!). I didn't expect this really, thought I would end up stopping it and be given a lot of grief by him.

Do they often lose interest all on their own?

The other thing is that his interest in milk generally has gone ('cos it's not that he wants a bottle instead of the boob, I've tried!). Again, is this normal / OK? He's a big boy by the way (98th centile for height, about 85th for weight).

It may just be that he's feeling crappy - DD did that at 10 months and I was mortified. But she's now 20 months and a total milk monster.

In fact she eschews solid foods if there is any form of milk, breast or cow, on offer

Is it possible he's teething and finding it uncomfortable to suckle?
