Help - blister suddenly appeared on nipple. What shall I do?

Just fed DD - was a bit sore, has been a bit sore on that side all day. When she came off there was what looked like a blob of milk on the tip of my nipple. But it didn't wipe off so thought it was hardened milk or something.

Applied a hot flannel and still it didn't shift - realised it was a blister filled with milk.

What shall I do??

Won't be able to feed from that side surely?? Will be too sore. Can I express with a blister??

Realise MW etc will say it's because I've not been getting the latch right but we're doing all the things advised and we've been checked endlessly by BFC and MWs etc, have tried alternating positions (cradle and rugby ball). That side has always been more prone to getting sore.

Am at end of my tether...what more can I do??

i swear i had that, i smothered in lansinoh, had hot baths after feeding and kept going, it was awful and makes me wince thinking back to it but soon went and things improved, i think also that just time and practice improved my latch.

Take a look at kellymom here for hints on shifting it. Ow
