8 week old baby boy weights 4.5kg, birth weight was 3.17kg, he’s finally putting on weight after struggling. Taking kendamil formula 150ml every 3.5-4hours. Is that too much or can I increase? What are your 2month old taking please?

It sounds good that he’s gaining weight and I liked Kendamil; could you plot on a growth chart and check in with your health visitor? 2 month olds vary drastically in weight so it’s not worth the comparison. Breastfed babies don’t have feeds measured so I’d just go by what makes your baby happy and growing.

Questions like this is what your Health Visitor is for.
Talk to them.

Feeds at that age are 150ml/kg. So he needs 675 in 24 hours which is 84 ml every 3 hours. So sound like you are doing fine.

But as a PP says, as long as he’s gaining weight and growing in proportion. And having plenty of wet and dirty nappies. I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

You should feed on demand so if he wants more give him more. Make sure you are pace feeding so he is controlling what he takes. Babies are excellent at self regulating their intake (except in a few cases of bad reflux)
