Breastfeeding hurts now he has top teeth

DS is 9 months, and now his top two teeth have properly come through, feeding him when I am sitting is now a bit painful, as I can feel his top and bottom teeth pressing on my breast. He's not biting - we've had a bit of that too, but it seems to have passed - and it doesn't hurt when feeding lying down, so it's something to do with the angle.

Anyone else had this, and any ideas? It's not painful enough to make me give up, but I'd rather not be in pain, and I can't always feed lying down.

I had AGONY when both my DSs got teeth for a few weeks. Almost had nipples bitten off. Every feed was TORTURE until we got through it. I got them to stop biting me by yelling crossly at them and showing a cross face to really show them I didnt like it. It stopped in the end & I healed up and we went for months and months more.

Perseverence is the key!! Best of luck and GRIT those teeth!!
