Hello, looking for advice.
DD is starting nursery next week and is ebf, also feeds to sleep.
Really struggling as wont take bottle.
Worried how will DD get milk requirment and how will she ever sleep at nursery?
Has anyone been in this position?

Yes thousands of babies have been in this position. Nursery workers are magical basically and it will all be fine in the end.

How old?

How old is your DD? Is your DD weaned and eating well? And how many hours a day / days per week will she be at nursery? Answers to these will clear up how important it is that your DD gets her milk / naps at nursery.

Babies / toddlers will often behave a little differently at nursery than at home with their mum. They may accept bottles from nursery staff / go to sleep more easily, obviously it varies and depends on the DC. My DD was a bottle refuser but would drink happily from a cup, sometimes using a straw, and nursery was happy to do this.

Both my DC settled quite easily at nursery and you may find the same. For example, my DC tended to eat all the nursery meals, though they could be fussy at home. Nursery staff are likely to have dealt with similar new starters before, do let them know your concerns really clearly so they can try to help.

Hope it all goes well OP, best of luck next week!

I assuming she's close to 12 months. If so, really don't worry. My EBF baby started nursery in September she was 11 months. She's never been a great napper anyway, but she does nap there (2 x 30 mins usually). - only ever did contact naps or in pram. We sent in formula but she only had a few sips. She makes up the BF when she's at home! She's never taken a bottle, we introduced a sippy and straw cups from 6 months. Now she's over 12 months she has some cows milk there which she will have a couple of cups of. I haven't needed to pump at all, and i feed as she wants on non-nursery days.

if she's more like 9 months you might need to get her using a cup for expressed milk or formula.

My eldest was like this. Never took a bottle but after experimenting with a lot of sippy cups we found one he’d use to drink water. He started nursery at 12 months, and younger DS at 9 months. Both just ate food and drank water at nursery and I fed them morning and night until about 13 months old.

How old? If they're 10 months and on 3 meals a day, then they don't really need the milk in the day, don't stress.

Mine will be doing the same soon as did my daughter. They will make up for it at night don’t worry 😂
