Formula milk, how long can you keep the powder and still use it afer opening?

My ds is bf, I bought some formula 6months ago, kept trying him with it but he would not take it.

He has just started taking a bottle with water so I am going to try formula milk again.

I opened the can 6months ago, can I still use it?

I wouldn't. I'm pretty sure you should use it within 4 weeks of opening. It should say on the tin somewhere in the small print.

I'm also sure it says to use within 4 weeks of opening. Why not buy a couple of cartons instead and then you wont have wasted so much if he still doesnt take it.
