Skin care products and BF...

Does anyone how safe it is to use skincare products on your breast while you are BF (not simultaeously obviously!)...?

Putting stuff onto my scary looking raw dough belly (nice!) and would like to put it onto boobs too but am uneasy.

Clearly you would avoid the nipple area and not feed straight after applying firming or moisturising cream, just been uneasy doing so in case any super-duper cream chemicals get absorbed into breast tissue, milk etc.

Anyone have any thoughts...?

maybe buy a natural organic one, so it wouldn't have any nasty chemicals in?

so long as dd isn't actually sucking it off your nipple there's nothing that'll hurt her - certainly nothing's absorbed uinto the milk

I'd avoid highly-scented stuff though, also fake tan (just because of the smell - bleurgh)

Agree with Mrs B - there won't be anything that would be absorbed but your baby might not like the smell. Thought of applying fak tan and ending up with a partially orange baby is yuk!
