dd2 is 10 months and the last few days has been biting constantly, really hard and impossible to prise off. i gave her several last chances but have not fed since monday morning - was down to 2 feeds on sunday and 3 a day prior to that. i know it is not great to suddenly stop and i really wanted to carry on but it was agony and i wanted to stop at 12 months anyway. anyway, i am now really sore and not sure whether to pump a little bit just to relieve pressure. i am doing a triathlon on sunday so really want not to have a brick hard chest still by then, will this get better?

Apply cold compresses to breasts and wear a tightish (but not overtight or you'll get mastitis) bra is all I can advise. But not an expert.

Ouch, horseymum, been there, done that! Yes, expressing or feeding just enough to relieve discomfort works and still allows your breasts to reduce supply. For me took only 2-3 days with ds1, now 5 years. Currently bf ds3 aged 9 weeks...

ah, gave in and tried feeding again this evening- she only bit once so might try to keep night time one going a bit longer!
