I stopped breastfeeding & expressing 6 months ago and my boobs still have milk in them - sure this isn't normal!

I'm not talking loads of milk, no where near as much as when I was breastfeeding, but it's causing sore boobs and (I know this makes me sound very daft) I'm worried that the milk in there will 'go off' if it stays in doing nothing, but if I express it I'm encouraging more milk production.
Has anyone else experienced this? I think I'm going to go and see the nurse (because one boob has quite a sore area which I think is caused by the milk but obviously need to check it out), just wanted to see how common this is.

I still have some milk and it's 6 months since I stopped bf as well. The left breast (the favoured one) still feels 'full' some days, so I don't think what you are experiencing is unusual, but do go and see someone if you have soreness.
