I know you don't strictly need these but has anyone got any really nice ones? I'd like a couple just because it is easier when out with the other dcs.

H&M all the way!

They're £9.99 and £14.99 depending on the style. They don't look like nursing tops, allow a little in the belly (cause we've just had babies) which, as I have H cups, are great cause I can go down a size!

I have a couple from JoJo and I really don't like them, they're more expensive than H&M and not very easy to do.

I'm still searching! Best thing I've got at the mo is the combo of a scarf to preserve modesty, and button down ruffle shirt for easy access!

I bought some from mamaway which weren't too bad price wise. Isabella Oliver now have two which are quite nice (I lived in the maternity clothes and wish they did nursing tops sooner). Mainly though I just wore ordinary clothes that I could either lift up or pull down.

AllBuggiedOut · 27/05/2008 12:08

I've got a couple by boob and don't get on with them at all - they're too clingy. Also have a Blooming Marvellous one which is much more practical although not particularly nice. So have given up. I found mahoosive maternity knickers which covered my tummy and a normal top best in the early days.

missmama · 27/05/2008 12:12

As daft as it sounds I wore a twinset type outfit if I wanted to be sure I was covered up while out and about.
Matalan did some lovely summery ones with a silk knitted vest and a matching short sleved cardi.
I would just hoik up the vest and pull the cardi round me a bit.
(And they do all sorts of colours and sizes)

mum2oneloudbaby · 27/05/2008 12:29

i would say jojo have been best in quality and accessibility and modesty. most of the tops i have seen won't win any fashion competitions though

catwoman75 · 27/05/2008 12:32

Have just bought a couple of maxi dresses in jersey material so the breast area just pulls down. Much nicer than all of the breast feeding tat out there. My new philosphy is to buy normal clothes that can somehow be used as the breastfeeding stuff is soooo frumpy.

SydneyB · 27/05/2008 12:34

I always found designed feeding tops really complicated to get on and off! Just a normal top with a vest underneath to cover tum etc always worked best for me.

DonDons · 27/05/2008 12:37

I have a couple from bella mama and they are really nice - and don't look as frumpy as some of the others. here

PetitFilou1 · 27/05/2008 13:16

Dondons God something which actually has a print on - hooray - makes a change.

oh bugger....I've just spent some more money.........it doesn't feel like spending when it's on 'tinternet though does it!

Babyisaac · 27/05/2008 13:43

Petitfilou, I've got a couple from H&M - one long-sleeved and one short-sleeved that I could sell to you if you're interested. The long-sleeved is black with white stripes and the short-sleeved is beige with white stripes. Let me know if you're interested - oh, and the size is Medium.

TinkerbellesMum · 27/05/2008 16:05

mum2oneloudbaby have they changed their style or something? I have two that have press studs (less than two years old) and they are the worst thing for trying to nurse with. I can pull it open quick, but with a littlie I couldn't do it up very easily.

freakypenguin · 27/05/2008 16:07

i wear cheap quite lowcut vests from new look under normal tops, with a nursing bra underneath,

you just hitch your boob out of the vest, but all is concealed with the other top.

much cheaper IMO!

HaventSleptForAYear · 27/05/2008 16:11

I like the bravado nursing tanks, wore them under other tops/shirts and they hid the flab well. Am still wearing them now and they are great for nightwear too.

HaventSleptForAYear · 27/05/2008 16:17

Some nice stuff here mamanana- French site but they deliver to the UK.

I bought a lovely black bf bra from there, still going strong 16 mths later.

wonderstuff · 27/05/2008 16:18

Primark currently have some t shirts in which have a double layer effect and work well, also i find a vest top under a smock is most discret, you lift up the top layer and pull your nork above vvest iyswim. Got a nice wrap top from interweb, but cant rememeber where..

Clydesdaleclopper · 27/05/2008 19:00

I got some grogeous Bara Glad ones from Mama Cocoon. Nice and long tunic ones that cover my big belly and very discreet access that isn't fiddly like some of the tops I have.

Clydesdaleclopper · 27/05/2008 19:01

Of course I meant to say gorgeous not grogeous - not sure what that would be
