harpsichordcarrier · 19/05/2008 22:21

oh my lord. i didn't bf v successfully but even then i'd have some difficulty schlurping them out if they went in. i might have to walk some distance before they'd follow.

cmotdibbler · 19/05/2008 22:27

You need a breast cake to celebrate. I shall bake one toot sweet.

Congratulations !

VictorianSqualor · 19/05/2008 22:40

Well bloody done!

MrsJohnCusack · 19/05/2008 22:42

oh do that anyway

wd though! shame you couldn't have a word with DS who never fed again after that nursing strike

emkana · 19/05/2008 22:43

Well done!

On the 31st of this month I will have been breastfeeding for seven years... with okay, one gap of four months, but I was pregnant at the time...

TigerFeet · 19/05/2008 22:45

that's brilliant, well done

how many dc's?

harpsichordcarrier · 20/05/2008 07:36

Mrs JC
two dd's, with a bit of an overlap

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/05/2008 07:44

Aw congrats!

I reckon I've crammed enough feeding into 2.3 yrs to last most people 5, but dd is a little milk monster! Still going despite not enjoying it since getting pregnant.

Glad I took your advice to carry on though, as I intend to express some ready for new dc in case of low blood sugar after birth (have gestational diabetes) .

harpsichordcarrier · 20/05/2008 07:58

hurray!
it is also very handy to have a tandem feeder on hand if you get engorged

OP posts:
MamaG · 20/05/2008 08:00

well do ne harpsi! But whats a tandem feeder? - is it another chld on teh other boob? Or your DH ?

harpsichordcarrier · 20/05/2008 08:02

it means feeding two children together but not necessarily simultaneously iyswim
though I did do that a few times at the very special request of the toddler (dd1) who used to lean over and stroke the baby's head

Tandem feeding is when you feed two (or more) children of different ages. I had a friend who breastfed twins and then her new baby as well! She definitely deserves a place in the lactation hall of fame!

As do you Harpsi...take a bow!

BabiesEverywhere · 20/05/2008 08:10

Well done

BouncingTurtle · 20/05/2008 08:19

Wow!!!!
Are you going to get your life back now

Well done, anyway, you should be very very very very proud!!

harpsichordcarrier · 20/05/2008 09:46

berolina · 20/05/2008 09:55

hunkermunker · 20/05/2008 10:01
