if so, did it work and how long did it take for pain to go?

been suffering with thrush for two weeks, tried daktarin which did nothing, out of hours gp prescribed single dose flocuzanole yesterday - pain did seem to be getting better yesterday but back with a vengeance today. I'm not sure how much more i can take, the pain is awful and I'm hating breastfeeding.

Not sure about using it when you're bf, but I always find that Diflucan in combination with the Canestan pessary is a good solution.

Have you cut out sugar (including fruit)/refined carbs/yeast from your diet? It really makes a difference!

Much sympathy to you, I really know how awful it can be.

Hm my doc said not advisable when breastfeeding, gave me Canesten instead. Problem not in my nipples tho.

Whoops - assumed you meant vaginal thrush!

sorry, should have been clearer! it's in both breasts.

It was a while ago, but I think the fluclonazole cleared it completely where all the other stuff had no effect. I'm fairly sure it wasn't a single dose though - I have a feeling there was a blister pack of tablets. Sorry, my memory isn't what it was!
leaflet is great - lots of tips and also says there you need more than one dose of fluclonazole.
Big sympathy from me - I hope you get better soon.
