Hello. I am desperably trying to get my DD to take milk from a beaker (have given up on bottle after 2 months of trying!). She has always been breastfed but I want her to be able to be fed without me being there now as I am needing to back to college (which is only 1 day a month).

Basically, i have ben expressing milk for her to drink out of a cup, but she only drinks an ounce or so, as she gets frustrated as she can't really work it. I want to keep trying everyday but the expressing is getting hard work and means I sometimes miss days.

When I have looked at forumula, they are all big pots and most would get wasted as it would last my DD ages as I would only be making about 2 ounces a day and they say to be used up within 4 weeks or whatever?

Does anybody know if you can get smaller pots anywhere?

How old is she? Just wondering if you might as well just give her a bit of cows milk.

Otherwise SMA used to do pre-measured powder sachets.

if it's only for a one off every so often, you can get cartons of premade stuff which are about an 8oz feed and cost about 60p a go.....they will keep opened for 24 hours in the fridge as well.

wrt cups, we tried loads of different ones before finding one that our DS and then DD liked and could use. With DS it was the anywayupcup, but DD gets on better with a bog standard flip top lid one like the tommee tippee one.

Check your local corner shop. I was at my local corner shop the other day and noticed they did small tins of SMA Gold (which I use) and I was going to get one for my in-laws for when we visit as otherwise the big tin is a waste if they have to be used by 4 weeks!
