Why does my baby not want to bf any more?

I have a 10-month old, and have been back at work (very) full time for the last two months. I tried expressing at work, but we had a bottle/doidy cup rejection. But, we were doing great on a bit of juice and milk with cereal, and bf first and last thing to get us thro the day. Only now, the last thing bf - its all crying and screaming and tantrums - why??? The first thing bf is still going ok.

Sorry can't help, but bumping for you

It's quite common.Mine decided he wanted to give up at 11 mths.
Have you tried feeding in a quiet dark place?

Oh Moony, really?? I thought self-weaning was ages away. I am upset if so. I have had to content with v glam London younger sisters saying that they will disown me if I am still bf after a year, as it is "gross" and I will be "one of those freaks". I am v v sad if it turns out I don't need the argument at all

Mine gave up at 12 months.HV said milk changes its taste from about this time.He is still a fussy eater!

Second one went on bf until 2and a half. She is not fussy, even now will eat anything!

Best wishes pillow

my ds abandoned the boob at about the same age as yours. he gave up the evening one first. think he was more tired and less hungry at that feed. there are a few tricks to try. moondog's suggestion is a good one; i also tried feeding him a little earlier and a lying down feed. if these don't help personally i would give up the feed (as long as he's not feeding overnight still).
good luck.
