remind me when the bowling ball boobs go away???

DD is 7 days old today and my boobs are still sooooooooooooo rock hard and enormous, I can't remember when they calmed down with ds. Soon??

From memory, during the day they settled within a couple of days - but then I put ds on the breast a lot.

I think the night-time-rock-hard-leaking-boobs stopped after a few weeks (Iused to sleep on a towel).

took 12 weeks for it to go away entirely for me (every few days they would get big again). Actually they still do now (15.5 weeks) but not so hard as before.

she only seems to want feeding 3-4 hourly. Maybe only a few days more will settle them down.

12 weeks? NOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooo. I seem to remember it being ages with ds though, especially as he kept changing his mind about how many feeds he wanted and whether or not he wanted both sides each feed.

it's probably because DS laughs in the face of routine
