dd2 is 6 wks and is probably going through a growth spurt. Cluster feeding in the evenings for the past week. Ex bf but thoughts of changing to formula have crept in. Kick up the bum needed and encouragement please.

know how you feel. you're doing great. eat lots of chocolate, have a glass of wine (if you're a bad mummy like me) and get people to bring you stuff/cook you dinner/generally look after you.

My ds cluster fed in evenings for AGES (well it felt like that, he's 16 weeks tomorrow and actually hasn't been doing that since about 8 or 10 weeks... can't believe I've forgotten when it stopped already tis all a blur!)

it's hard work, it's knackering, you are ace.

keep on keepin' on

xx

andiem · 06/05/2008 21:44

keep at it
if things are really bad you could try expressing in the morning and giving ebm in evening or dh doing it
mine both stopped cluster feeding at about 8/9 weeks
well done

step away from the formula

Pats HARD on the back to dislodge any thoughts of FF.

Keep it up you're doing a fantastic job!

liath · 06/05/2008 21:47

Pat pat! You're doing brilliantly.

Keep telling yourself how easy & convenient BF is once established . Ds cluster fed for ages - I watched a lot of DVDs.

Hi tori, congratulations on the safe arrival DD was a horror for this, fed to sleep etc. You will see it fade away gradually, I think I survived by DP taking her out in the pram occasionally and me feeding infront of the TV with a good comedy show on. It probably didn't help her sleep habits but she is fine now. She is 20m and still BF at night and the morning.

Thanks all FF thoughts are now fading I have stepped away from the tin
I did try expressing (to bump my supply tbh which has helped) but LO point blank refuses a bottle from anyone so the decision to ff is not really an option!!
Thanks for the moral support, I just needed to see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel
