Poor latching randomly

I have been breastfeeding successfully for 7 weeks now after some initial latching difficulties.
Baby is now 12 weeks old and has suddenly started latching really poorly and feeding inefficiently, my nipples are so sore.
I feel so gutted, as this happened in the first 5 weeks and I couldn't bf as nipples.were so bad from a bad latch I then sorted this issue and have had a really good 7 weeks of bf and now it feels it has come back again... I don't know what to do.

I loved bf but now it's become painful again, do I give up? Anyone else been through this at 12 weeks

Are you going to in person bf support through your local team or free NCT or La Leche League? Don't give up. Get an in person latch check and talk it all through. A trained bf support worker will be able to advise. It could be any number of things. All of them fixable as you've been doing it pain free.

Issues that can be addressed include tongue tie, vasospasm, blebs, thrush etc as well as just needing a latch tweak as baby is about to hit a major leap and growth spurt which always brings change.
