BF an 8 month old. Anyone else insatiably hungry?

DD doesn't eat much solids so is still almost exclusively bf.

Last few weeks I have been constantly ravenous, eating like a horse, but not gained any weight (thankfully!)

I was hungry when bf, but never had an 8 month old who didn't eat much solid food. Well done, you must have Gold Top in there. At least you can be confident dd is getting perfect food. She'll discover solids when she's good and ready.

DD is 10mo and I have suddenly become v hungry again, not sure if it's anything to do with bfing though.

Are you sure it's hunger and not thirst? When the hot weather kicked in I suddenly got ravenous but I was actually just really dehydrated.

Yes, drinking loads too. I always drink lots of water but even more recently.

I remember when breast feeding DS2 - he was a brilliant feeder, and fed from me until he was 14 months old. Like your DD, he didn't eat an awful lot of solids for a while but he absolutely thrived.

I went through a phase of being really hungry, and only cheese & pickled onion sandwiches would do the trick!

Of course, plenty to drink as well.

Keep up the good work, Ceolas. Tou are doing great!
