One year old won't eat

My daughter is 13 months and won't eat. She either throws it down on the floor or just won't open her mouth. Everybody comments how small she is and it's really stressing me out. Made her wheetabix this morning and she refused to open her mouth, threw her banana on the floor and threw a croissant down. She won't take milk in the day. I'm still breastfeeding throughout the night. It's so so stressful. My older two sons was the complete opposite and wouldn't stop eating. What am I doing wrong?

Might not be anything you’re doing wrong, it’s your 3rd kid and your first were good eaters so you clearly know what you’re doing!

Too much milk at night could be a factor but I think she needs checking over by the GP and/or HV if there are concerns about her growth and she really isn’t eating, not just refusing healthy stuff in favour of favourites. It could be that there’s something medical going on e.g. AFRID or like enlarged tonsils meaning it’s hard for her to swallow solids. I’d want to rule out those and other medical causes (there are more, those are just 2 common examples) before even considering cutting down on the night feeds, because it could be harmful to stop them if that’s her only reliable source of calories right now.

I think the first thing I'd try is some gentle night weaning.
