Page 3 is the Sun only. It was introduced by Murdoch when he bought the paper.

Other papers do have topless models though. Eg The Daily Star. The Mirror did too until the mid 80s.

oh artichokes, i thought it was more papers than that.

smc just wondered as it really pisses me off some people, try and tell bf mother they have to be discreet, when its not always possible[see my other thread about cousins asshole hubby]

MilkGoddess - it may not sound like many newspapers but the Sun is the most read paper in Britian. The Sun has an average daily readership of 7,700,000, the Daily Star has 1,500,000, the News of the World has an average Sunday readership of 8,200,000. So each week millions and millions of readers are exposed to Page 3.

In addition millions of people see glimpses of bare breasts on the top shelves and news agents and on telly after the watershed.

There really is no excuse for asking mothers to hide breastfeeding.

The News of the World don't have a page 3 girl incidentally and neither do the Mirror. The Sun and Star do.

far far worse imo are the covers of Nuts etc in the newsagents
