dd would rather have her hand in her mouth than my boob!

i think she might be teething, but don't know if she is too young?

there are little white dots clearly visible under her gums, her hand is constantly in her mouth and she is a dribble monster. but i know they just seem to do that anyway at this stage (18wks) without teeth.

her sleep has gone haywire and she seems to feed more at night than during the day - groan - again i understand this is also typical 4/5mth behaviour

but she's teensy tiny, it's always been a struggle re her weight gain, so now i'm awful worried cos she doesn't seem to be feeding well. she is literally pulling off the breast so she can shove her hand back in. aarg!

does this sound like teeth? do they tend to feed less when teething? thanks!

My dd cut 2 teeth at 17 weeks and was very similar.
Sadly she also began to refuse my boob at this time and we converted to ff - felt sad as had wanted to feed to a year.
DS teethed much later 1st tooth not til a year and BF til about 11 months.

This dosn't mean that is what would happen for you though, just offering my experience not advising you shoud switch to ff

Mine has also started this (18wks too).

No sign of teeth coming through yet.

He's also a weenieman (12lb 11oz) and has dropped from having 10 feeds/day last week to only 'asking for' 5 yesterday. I'm holding his hands very firmly during feeding as he also seems more interested in eating his fist than boob.

I'll give it a week before I get concerned, although won't be getting him weighed tommorow because I know what I'll get told!

Caz, so many of your posts I could have written myself, here is another. Also 18 weeks today and exactly what you have said. I might also add that DD had 3rd set of injections on Wednesday and hasn't really slept or fed properly since, seems better today though and seems to be in a sunnier mood
