When did you stop drinking? Do you feel drunk or sober?

OnePinkLemur · 05/09/2024 14:50

If you'd be safe to drive then you'd certainly be safe to feed. The alcohol leaves your milk at the same rate that it leaves your blood.

That's not to say that you wouldn't be safe before, the amount of alcohol in the milk is very small and you would be fine hours earlier, but if you want to be ultra cautious then that would be one measure you could use.

6/8 drinks sounds a lot, do you feel drunk? Apart from passing on alcohol to the baby, it’s also important whether you can safely hold them and won’t fall asleep while feeding/holding them. How long ago was it that you drank?

Just saw your update, as it was 12 hours ago and you don’t feel drunk, you’re probably fine

This was last night so over 12 hours ago im fine and definitely more than capable of holding and caring for her.
