I'd say a resounding yes...

emkana · 12/04/2008 20:51

Yes absolutely

LittleWonder · 12/04/2008 20:51

Whyever not?!

Mumcentreplus · 12/04/2008 20:52

Yep..

lilyloo · 12/04/2008 20:52

yes definately !

berolina · 12/04/2008 20:52

yes, why ever not?

terramum · 12/04/2008 20:52

Yes - it's no different from feeding anywhere else.

LittleWonder · 12/04/2008 20:53

quite, Berolina, the wine you know!

berolina · 12/04/2008 20:54

sorry, meant the italics as emphasis, not pedantry, honest!

cupsoftea · 12/04/2008 20:54

yes - would bf anywhere

morocco · 12/04/2008 20:54

didn't someone else post about swimming pools and bf an older baby last week? is it all the rage this month? should or shouldn't - entirely up to the mum. would I? almost certainly not, I'd probably get out and wrap a towel round me first. I've bf at the side of the pool before but I feel to 'exposed', too much flesh on display as it is with my swimsuit on. but that's just me, about the only time I feel self consious about bf these days

TrinityTheProgressingRhino · 12/04/2008 20:55

yes I would but then I would bf anywhere

tissy · 12/04/2008 20:56

I wouldn't do it in the water, I'd worry about baby/ me getting cold, but yes, at the side of the pool, I would.

LittleWonder · 12/04/2008 20:58

Nothing wrong with a little pendantry - DEFINITELY nothing wrong!

preggerspoppet · 12/04/2008 21:01

really? are you sure sure?

OP posts:
preggerspoppet · 12/04/2008 21:01

like, in the pool with baby on one hip and toddler on the other? (-baby on boob)

OP posts:
hoxtonchick · 12/04/2008 21:01

i did.

EffiePerine · 12/04/2008 21:08

why not?

I got a few looks when bfing DS in hospital (he's 18mo), but a) he was ill and b) it was the only way to keep him attached to his drip so I ignored them .

preggerspoppet · 12/04/2008 21:08

even if you had an older child you were also keeping half an eye on who was playing on the inflatebles?

Twiglett · 12/04/2008 21:09

actually in the pool

no

EffiePerine · 12/04/2008 21:09

No different to holding a baby while keeping an eye on the older one, surely?

Twiglett · 12/04/2008 21:09

also have slight problems with the concept of breastfeeding to be the only way to comfort an upset 1 year old .. because it isn't and really shouldn't be

lilyloo · 12/04/2008 21:09

Surely if you had other dc's in the pool then yes rather than hall everyone out to do it in changing rooms etc.

terramum · 12/04/2008 21:10

Yep - I'll say it again - how is it different from feeding one child while watching another anywhere?
