didn't someone else post about swimming pools and bf an older baby last week? is it all the rage this month? should or shouldn't - entirely up to the mum. would I? almost certainly not, I'd probably get out and wrap a towel round me first. I've bf at the side of the pool before but I feel to 'exposed', too much flesh on display as it is with my swimsuit on. but that's just me, about the only time I feel self consious about bf these days

I wouldn't do it in the water, I'd worry about baby/ me getting cold, but yes, at the side of the pool, I would.

why not?

I got a few looks when bfing DS in hospital (he's 18mo), but a) he was ill and b) it was the only way to keep him attached to his drip so I ignored them .

also have slight problems with the concept of breastfeeding to be the only way to comfort an upset 1 year old .. because it isn't and really shouldn't be

Surely if you had other dc's in the pool then yes rather than hall everyone out to do it in changing rooms etc.
