Periods and Breastfeeding....

Hi - I stopped bfeeding DS at 23 weeks. He is now 30 weeks old and my periods havent returned. On average any idea on how long it should take? Just not sure whether to see GP or whether this is perfectly normal.

Afraid I can only speak from experience - I stopped when my son was 9 months old, and they returned more or less straight away (I was pregnant again a month later but that's another story!)

It took me three months before I got a period after stopping bfeeding when my son was only 5 months old. I guess everyone is different - wouldn't worry unless you think you are pregnant or are going to try again.

I got mine when ds was 7.5 months - I was still bfeeding and stopped when he was 10.5 months when I got pregs again.
