12 week bottle fed, should he be having water??????

My 12 week old ds will not take water.
Should he be having it or does it not matter if he doesnt want it??????

no - doesn't need water, just plenty of milk

you only need to offer it if he's constipated or it's boiling hot where you are

otherwise there's a risk his tummy will be too full of (un-nourishing) water for him to get enough milk.

When does he need to start taking water??

around 6 months IIRC

milk should be the main food until then anyway

offer water in the circs MrsB has mentioned tho'
