Does anyone else's baby do this regularly?
At least once a day my daughter chokes on her milk - she is only 4 months old.

She is bottle fed. Its often in the evening when she is hungry and crying at the same time. She gasps and then takes in some milk (I think!) and I panic. SHe coughs for a good few minutes, but I always wonder whether there is anything left on her lungs,

my gp says that unless she suddenly gets ill its not good to run xrays. She currently has a bad cold and cough with a lot of mucus in her lungs.

So worried it could get infected

this is my second child, didnt have any of these concerns with my first - he was a good feeder.

any advice?
thankyou

Shes likely to choke if shes crying and drinking at the same time, could you try getting her feed to her before shes gets to worked up and upset and avoid the crying?

Its not true choking as in theres not a blockage more that shes trying to breathe and swallow at the same time.

thankyou for replying, yes I do need to feed her before it happens, just that it comes on so suddenly!
