Breast feeding and unsure if pregnant again

Hi

My dd is nearly 9 months old. And I have recently had pregnancy symptoms again. I have done a few pregnancy tests all with negative results.

Has any one found that while breast feeding they have had real pregnancy symptoms(feeling sick all the time, headaches upset stomach, very sensitive to smells and feeling drained) and not been pregnant?

I'm wondering if this could have anything to do with dd draining me while breastfeeding or my period returning (as this has not happened yet).

Any ideas welcome...

i was pregnant whilst bfing (dd1 was 23months) and 3 tests showed Negative,, I was definately pregnant left it one week and done another test which showed Positive.
Congratulations !

I had a BFP 2 days before AF was due whilst still BFing a 9mo.

Do not think BFing interferes with whether HCG is there or not.

If you are pregnant 18 months is a great gap.

Not sure if congratulations is in order as was not planning another baby... lol

I went to the doctors and had a test done which was negative, but i'm sure i am pregnant. Asked the doctor if she thinks the test could be incorrect and she said no, they are very sensitive!!

How far along was you when you finally had a positive test?

prob around 5 weeks, but i knew for sure i was pregnant. I was so confused at the tests showing negative

I have all those symptoms too mummyofsofs!!

I am still bf dd2 aged 11m and she feed ALOT at night. Still no af for me either and negative tests done about 2 weeks apart so definately not pregnant. I'm guessing the same as you that it must be being drained from all the feeding or my period thinking about making an appearance. Don't remember feeing this way with dd1 though

I know a lady who has had 4 babies and never been able to get a positive pee test, always had to have bloods to confirm, weird.

I'm 14 weeks now and ds was 6 months when I got pg. The only thing I've found to be a prob so far is the unbelievable nausea when feeding. It's in waves and just hideous. It's not every time now usually in the wee hours and when I first get up, and thankfully not nearly as bad as last time - I spewed until 34 weeks!

It's gonna be hard work I think, and I don't even want to consider about all the cloth nappies!
