DD 8 weeks rejecting left breast but only in evenings?

For 2 nights in a row my DD has rejected my left breast, repeatedly detatching and crying, staring at the sofa as if there was something really scary there. We tried covering up the sofa but that didn't help! Then when I changed her onto the right breast she fed fine? Anyone had a similar problem? She feeds fine on both breast during the day. It makes no sense to me Someone suggested seeing a cranial osteopath and I have booked a session with one but just wondered if anyone else had any ideas

You may have one boob that generates more or less milk than the other one. My right boob has also been one to totally drown both my kids with milk when BF'ing. but not at every feed. I would guess that the boob in question is either being too fast or too slow for her and just to perserve with it - it will settle down I promise!

I dont think it will be a terrifying sofa btw

Thanks Boobalina (great name!!) that makes sense. Glad you think we don't need to get rid of the sofa!!

I have had this prob this week. dd 4 months and started to refuse right side. .. think i have slower let down on this side. Also she has been very hungry this week and had cold too. It was suggested I try rugby hold on this side which seemed to trick her and I also fed her night feeds on this side (as she was sleepy she fed fine). Today she has been feeding as normal both sides.
keep trying and don't worry it should sort itself out.
