Can't find the answer on the internet anywhere..... I have my period, my baby is 5 weeks and ex bf. I really want to wear tampons for obv reasons but not sure if you are allowed? (Don't know why I think this) Anyone know?

no idea, but I'm bf and using tampons
can't think of any reason why you couldn't

has your lochia stopped? early to get a period when you are exclusively BF... are you sure it is a period?

i would wait for the 6 week check to ensure all is well before using tampons, personally

I agree with Lulu

With both my dds, my bleeding stopped, but then started again, a few times. With dd1 the GP prescribed something to make it stop

Both were exc bf

Highly unusual, I think , to get a period this early

I thought it was, went on the mini pill a week ago so that could have something to do with it? My postnatal bleeding had stopped after 2 weeks, then my partner and I had sex and I got some light bleeding which lasted a week, that stopped, I went on the pill and after a week or so this period type bleeding started...

Guess i'll wait a week then, just read that lochia can last up to 6 weeks... may have post natal check after all!

did you use contraception ? before you went on the pill......

5 week is still early to know if everything has closed up. Would it be such a hardshipto use towels for a few days?

Afaik the mini pill is notorious for causing spotting/light bleeding/period type bleeding with no pattern or regularity.

My GP warned me about this when I went on the mini pill for a while.

My lochia after dd2 lasted 8 weeks - I was a bit p'd off about that as you can imagine.
