To sterilise bottles or not for 13mth old?

DS (nearly 14 mths) still has his bedtime milk from a bottle (he has beakers during the day). HV told me I must sterilise at least the teat for as long as I use bottles, as the nasty milk bugs can gather in the little hole in the teat. All my mummy friends stopped sterilising at 12 months, but I can't find any "official" guidance that says this is ok - mainly I suspect because the official guidance says you should not still be giving bottles after 12 months! Am I the only one still sterilising at this stage? Am I wasting my time?

Didn't sterilise after 12 months, but also tried to stop using bottles around that age even for bedtime milk.
