DS is 14 weeks old, he had bad colic when he was born, and suffered badly when he was given Cow and Gate normal formula so moved him onto Cow and Gate Comfort. He has been OK on this until recently when he seems to be getting more and more constipated and suffering again with wind. I think the formula is too heavy for him now and think he is taking wind in when he is drinking it because he is unable to drink from a larger teat or variflow (which is advised for Comfort Formula). I want to wean him onto Aptamil, I tried going cold turkey and gave him Aptamil for a feed but he refused I think due to taste and consistency. My questions are can I mix feeds to wean him onto aptamil e.g 5ozs C&G, 1oz Aptamil and build up slowly to a full Aptamil feed?. Does anyone know or have experience of this or can offerr any other advice. Thank you.
