Baby had her last feed at 8pm she only drank 3oz that I had to distract her to drink she now has bottle aversion so I was supposed to wait up till 12am to dream feed her but I fell asleep I just woke up now it’s 3:27 my baby’s gone 7.5 hrs without a feed 💔

Can you not just feed her now?

This makes you a tired mum not a terrible one!

Lollibert · 21/08/2023 03:51

You’re not a bad mum! You’re just tired and fell asleep. How old is she? Maybe she’s not hungry and just tired? My 9wo baby slept 7 hours last night and has been awake every 2 hours tonight 🤷‍♀️. I assume he’s having a growth spurt.

She’s 14 weeks old supposed to drink 33oz for her weight but only drank 25 yesterday if I’d of stayed up and dream fed her I would’ve gotten at least 30-31 oz in total but I fell asleep

It’s fine she would of woke up crying if she was hungry.
Is she gaining weight ok? If she is I wouldn’t be waking her to feed (unless you’ve been advised for medical reasons).

At 14 weeks I'd be jumping for joy at that!

She drank what she needed and slept as long as she needed.

As soon as their over 7lbs and gaining I never wake to feed them at night, that's what help them sort out their days and nights quickly.

Take it as a win.

@lollibert just realised I'm also on your other thread, thought it sounded familiar.

You need to contact someone for feeding advice and also maybe talk to someone about your anxiety around it.

Your baby is absolutely fine and you're not a terrible mum but you are going to drive yourself up the wall if you carry like this.

If baby is sleeping through that's great. You are not doing anything wrong. Let baby sleep.
