Cracked Nipples Prevention Hunker Tiktok

I suffered very badly with cracked nipples (amongst other things) when establishing breastfeeding with DD.

What is the best way of preventing cracked nipples with the next baby ?

I was looking at this thread but putting paste on the cups and rinseing my nipples before use, sounds a big faff.

Should I concentrate on latch and positioning next time or get in loads of laninosh and jelonet just in case ?

I was told to start using me cream and giving them a bit of a tweak a few wks before dd1 arrived, seemed to help?

No evidence that tweaking or creams is in any way preventive (and both these things have been looked at in studies) - positioning and attachment are crucial, and check out baby-led attachment, BE.

Good luck

Thanks everyone.

If I manage to avoid surgery and stop them taking my new born baby straight away like they did last time, I hope to try to let him/her do the breast crawl thing.
