Supply issues at bedtime

My baby is 10 months and I’d say for the past month, I’ve been having supply issues at bedtime. I’ve never had a supply issues before. I went back to work about 6 weeks ago and have been pumping regularly to keep my supply up. I don’t seem to have any issues with feeding her until it comes to around 7/8pm where she doesn’t seem to be getting enough milk. I’m having to top her up with a bottle. I don’t really know what to do. If anyone has any advice on increasing my supply at this time or knows why it’s happening, it would be greatly appreciated

It’s normal to have a lower supply later in the day when you’re tired. The best supply is usually in the morning, fresh from sleep. If you’re recently back to work perhaps you’re even more tired at that time, than before.

You have done a great job this far but things will change a lot in the next couple of months when your dc can drink cow’s milk. She will also continue to eat more.

If I were you I might just embrace the change and give your dd formula before bed. Remember you can still keep the breastfeeding going without continuing to do it around the clock.

Although if that’s not what you want to do, that might not be that helpful. Just a suggestion.

Yeah I think you’re right. I was able to bf for 18 months with my first but it was during covid so I wasn’t working and probably wasn’t as tired. Think I’m putting too much pressure on myself to do the same this time around!
