When do (EBF) babies stop feeding so frequently?

I have a 3 week old DS, EBF since birth, thankfully breastfeeding has got off to a good start, he latches well, never lost any weight and is maintaining his 75th centile line well. Plenty of wet and dirty nappies. However he is feeding every single hour during the day (sometimes more frequently) and about 5 times overnight. If it was just us this would be fine however I have a 2 year old daughter and I’m really struggling when she’s at home with how frequently he’s feeding. I know all babies are different but generally speaking when do things start to calm down?

About 12 weeks ime. 3 weeks and 8 weeks were always the worst for cluster feeding with my 3 ebf babies. Get sticker/activity books that the 2 yo can do sitting next to you as you feed and if you can master tucking the baby into you supported with one arm as you walk around, you can feed, walk and have a hand free! There are slings too although I never found one I loved (and never figured out how to feed while wearing one though). In these intense periods, get the telly on and snacks out - guaranteed your 2yo will love this!

DS is nearly 6 weeks and things have started to calm a little. He’s now going a good 2-3 hours between feeds and is waking 2-3 times at nice compared to 5 times before. 4ish weeks tend to be a growth spurt and a bad week for cluster feeding.
