BF but sleep from birth

With DS I breastfed for 8 months but until we got him sleeping more, my mental health plummeted and my OCD made me almost suicidal.

I am pregnant with DC2 and want to make a plan from birth. I want to breastfeed but also feel like my DH can feed the baby in the night, so I can get a stretch of sleep. What killed me last time was feeling constantly on alert that he would wake up any second so I was unable to fall into a deep sleep. I also found I was unable to rest during the day if DS was with others as I felt like there was a constant timer ticking down to the next feed.

Is there a way of introducing mixed/express feeding from birth and still keeping my supply? I had excellent supply last time which also led to mastitis which was unpleasant so hopefully will be ok!

It's supply and demand so it will just adjust to what you need...currently bf dc3 who's 6 weeks old, never used formula with the other two but will eventually introduce a bottle for the bedtime feed to establish some kind of routine x

It's really difficult to switch off and sleep with a new baby even if someone else does the feeding. We're programmed that way

@rattlinbog if giving expressed milk then the recommendation is to exclusively BF for 6 weeks to establish supply and then introduce bottle. However I would probably recommend you do this from 4ish weeks instead as from my own personal experience my baby refused a bottle at 6 weeks!! I then had a couple of torturous months trying to get him to accept a bottle!
