My 14 week old has been soley breastfed until now and I am trying to get her to take a bottle so that i can return to work. She is quite happy to have the bottle in her mouth and will lay for hours playing with the teat in her mouth but will not suck.....any advice? How do I make her suck? Is there another way of feeding her without a bottle that is proven to work? help!!

Have you tried a cup?
Or leaving her for a whgile until she is really hungry?
When are you going back to work?

If you use a bottle with a disposable bag you can squeeze a bit out of the teat, which might encourage her to suck.

Second cup and leaving her till hungry.

Who gives her the bottle - you or dh/another adult? Often easier to start with if it's not the mum, ime.
