Anyone got experience of DCs "forgetting" how to take a bottle

I have been giving DS a bottle of EBM a day since he was 2 weeks old. He's now 7 mo and I'm getting fed up of all the expressing and want to go back to fully BF.

Do you think its risky for me to stop giving bottles now, as I go back to work in a month's time, and I am worried he may then refuse them? I've heard babies can 'forget' how to feed from bottles if they are not given them regularly.

Anyone any experience of this?

I doubt he will forget how to use them he just maybe a bit reluctant to take a bottle so it may mean a bit more wirk from you or who ever is feeding him to tempt him to drink from it.

I don't I'm afraid, but if he doesn't take to the bottle, you could try a training cup when you do stop the bf. I was a fairly unsuccessful bfer and ds was on a bottle much sooner than I wanted. However, i did manage to get him onto a cup by 10 mths, which is close to the age your lo will be when you return to work.
