Are you still bf? - could try just expressing alittle to take preassure off. Check as engorgement can lead to mastitus - if you get a temperature , or a red patch/lump or feel unwell check with gp. All the best

i fully sympathise with you. its horrible isnt it?

my mw told me to keep expressing a little in the shower (hand express) but i found it didnt really help. you may though.

watch out for mastitis

Thanks. Have now given up - don't seem to be able to express anything anymore. Will keep an eye out for mastitis. Eugh.

How long ago did you give up? It is 3 weeks since I gave up, and it is only in the last week that my boobs have eased significantly. Definitely went through the sore and lumpy stage with a vengeance!. Good bra support very helpful. Whenever I could I had a hot, deep bath and soaked on my front - very soothing to the boobs - and combed my boobs with an afro comb, just like for mastitis. It helped me to comb all the way down from the armpit, though I had to lie on my back or side to do that.

You can take some paracetamol (or whatever you prefer - wine for example) to help ease the discomfort.
