I have lost all dignity- just exposed myself to the man from Scottish Power

Was feeding DD2 when heard knock at door.

Opened (holding DD) to man from Scot Power with usual patter about price rise of my supplier, all your neighbours are switching to us yada yada.

Politely but firmly interrupted and told him I was too busy to discuss my power supply.

Closed door then realised right nork still swinging free of nursing bra and top hoiked up over it. DD, unfortunately, sitting on opposite hip.

No wonder the poor chap didn't put up much resistance!

latchmeregirl · 29/01/2008 16:16

Lol. I try to check (we have frosted glass in front door) - if it is a friend then I am often a little uncovered. More than once I have shed a breast pad as I wander round various places.

I always answer the door with baby in my arms if she isn't asleep - that way you can always say "oh I have my hands full" and they tend to leave you alone. Obviously Pendulum's strategy would have a higher success rate than mine!

claireybee · 29/01/2008 16:22

If it was the same chap that came to me earlier in the week then he had already seen mine! ds was in sling feeding then yanked off exposing me and spraying milk everywhere!

Maybe it's a recognised perk of the job?

Basic salary, performance-based bonus, and perving opportunities for those with nork fetish.

lol - I did the same to the lib dem candidate who was canvassing for the local elections. He didn't bat an eyelid either.

When I was still BF DD I kept answering the door to the postman w/her firmly latched and signing for packages.

I am sure they are used to it

Oh well if they aren't .

lol - I was in the pub yesterday with DH on paternity leave (I am a novice in the bf dept) and we were getting some lunch. I wanted to be discreet so was sat away not facing customers and I was chatting away to DH, he later delighted in the fact I was considerate to all the customers but I was directly sat right in front of the window with it flopping out when ds had fallen asleep.. no wonder the odd passer by looked happy.

The postman knocked at the door with a parcel while I was bfing DS, and I answered the door without realising I still had one of my knockers hanging out.
I've also wandered round all day with a breast pad stuck to the back of my cardigan, and no-one told me.
After giving birth and having a succession of midwives and doctors peering up my fanjo, I'm past caring.
