I look like a rake since I've had DS. Don't know whether its BF (he has shot up from 50th-75th centile since birth) or the fact that I'm dashing around not eating as much!

Hello people, new person here. I have an 11 week old baby and at first alot of weight came off really quickly and was back into my jeans after two weeks. I only put on one stone whilst pregnant, this being my 4th baby. But I am now stuck on the scales and they will not shift. I feel like a heffer with all this wrinkly midriff skin.Fully bfeeding.

I found with DS1 that I didn't lose any weight at all until he was 6 months or so, and then it started to come off - I ended up 1 size smaller and 5 or so lbs lighter than pre-pregnancy.

This time around, well, we're just at 4 months, so I'm still weighing exactly what I did when he came out. We'll see if the same thing happens.

So for me, initial breastfeeding doesn't make me lose or gain, but "extended" (if you count post six months as extended) makes it go.

No, quite the opposite - I lost all my pregnancy weight by 5 months or so, plus an extra half stone by the time I'd stopped at around 1 year. But one year on I have put the half stone back again. Every ounce on my tummy.

Actually, I don't know what I weighed at 5 months because I don't have any scales in the house - that's about when I got back into my old trousers. I only found out my weight at 1 year when I went for a BUPA wellness check. I don't care about weight, it's just the distribution of it!

I did lose some of what I put on while breastfeeding, but not all. Ended up about a stone heavier. Then got pg again so don't have to worry til July .

I found it absolutely impossible to lose weight while bf as well. No matter how little I ate, my body considerately held onto it all for me.

I will say that EVERYONE I know who bottle fed lost weight really fast. I'm sure thats a huge generalisation but it annoyed me at the time.
