Hiya worktostaysane. I found this on Kellymom:

?Breastfeeding reduces morning sickness.? ...MYTH or FACT?
Unknown! This appears to be true for many mothers (myself included) but only a scientific study could tell us whether statistics will bear this out or not. On the other hand, some unlucky moms do experience isolated bouts of nausea specifically during breastfeeding sessions.

But that's pretty much all that they say about it.

Do you want to wean your dd?

I'm pg and still bf ds2 and I'm afraid I have had terrible nausea which is only just easing at 14 weeks. This is just the same as I did with both previous pregnancies and tbh I hadn't heard that bf was supposed to make it better or I would have been sorely miffed . I am planning to tandem feed and have heard that it helps with sibling rivalry... will let you know if that works when I get there

I BF my DD1 until she was 15 mo and had my second when she was 18 months. Had m/s all the way through. Sorry.

I got pg with ds2 when ds1 was 4 months old and puked every single dy even though ds1 was being exclusively breastfed.

I breastfed all through morning sickness too. Bleurgh.

NamelessNewbie · 11/01/2008 16:30

I fed during my third pregnancy and was nauseous but not sick, in comparison with first pregnancy when I was nauseous and sick every day from 6w to 22w, and second pregnancy when I was nauseous most days and sick some days between 9w and 16w.

workstostaysane · 11/01/2008 17:33

oh lawks,
well it was a nice daydream while it lasted. i haven't had any MS yet but am only at about 6weeks and i seem to remember it kicked in at about 8 last time.

ok, so if doesn't help with MS, how does it help with sibling rivalry? i am only bf ing dd once a day now, so not sure it woudl make much difference. what do you think?

Absolute bollocks in my experience. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and still vomiting for England in between feeding my 14 month old.
