Did your mum or gran (or even you) donate breastmilk to a milk bank prior to 1990?
If so, we would like to hear from them. We are collecting memories of people donating and receiving donor breastmilk as we would like to compile an anecdotal history - we know things have changed a lot over the years.
If you, or someone you know can help, please email us at [email protected]
I've already posted this once in the charity section - thanks to those of you who responded. It was suggested I might reach a few more people here.
The United Kingdom Association for Milk Banking (UKAMB) is a charity that works to raise awareness of human milk banking, thereby increasing the availability of donor breastmilk for sick and premature babies.
If you would like further info about milk donation, please visit our website www.ukamb.org
Thanks in advance!
