My little one is really finding it hard with the avent, Ive tried different avent teats.
She is breast fed but has one little bottle of expressed milk a day, please can you advise me of an alternative bottle/teat that would be easy for such a young baby to grasp.

Or is it just a matter of time? Im confused because DS1 had no problems the minute I offered him a bottle at 3 weeks old.

she cant seem to suck effectively and chokes a bit on the teat...

thankyou

Hi Vannah, my DD took the Tommee Tippee closer to nature teat at 2.5 weeks without any problems, the actual teat is quite wide and is "supposed" to mimic the shape of the breast. She took those teats great up until last week (13 weeks) when she decided to refuse them! I have since changed to MAM Ultivent(?) bottles and teats, I chose them because she uses the MAM dummies and thought the teat might be similar. She seems to be fine using these ones .....at the moment!! Good luck

tommee tippee closer to nature or the munchkin ones. if you have home bargains near you the munchkin ones are on offer too.

My dcs have both used MAM bottles and teats with no problems.

My ds liked NUK, supposedly nipple shaped.

if they are chocking the flow could be to fast from the bottle. do you have the smallest teat?

my ds rather liked the tommee tippee closer to nature ones.
