Tommee Tippee 'closer to nature' bottles vs Tomme Tippee 'wide neck' bottles - anyone tried both?

Tesco are currently selling Closer to Nature bottles half price, and I wonder whether it's worth buying them.

I breastfed DS (now 2;7) but gave bottles of expressed milk from about 5 wks old, then switched to formula when he was 13wks & losing weight (another story altogether!). I am expecting DC2, due mid-Feb, and can't decide whether to re-use my old wide neck Tommee Tippee bottles with new teats or buy a couple of boxes of the newer Closer to Nature ones while they are on offer.

Has anybody had experience of using both of these types of bottles & teats? Are the newer type much easier for babies to use when swapping breast-bottle-breast? Does the anti-colic easivent system actually help? Are the bottles & teats interchangeable? Are the new bottles much wider & therefore more difficult to fit in a steriliser?

I am about to 'checkout' my Tesco.com order but would be very grateful for any opinions/advice. Thankyou!

I think I'll just take a risk and buy one set of bottles. I've checked and the price of 4 'normal' teats is the same as the set of 4 bottles (which include teats too)!!!!

I just have to hope the bottles all fit in my steiliser.

Still grateful for any info...

I have the closer to nature bottles but haven't tried the wideneck ones. I don't think they are interchangeable, the ctn ones are very wideneck, if that makes sense! The ctn ones have much softer, flexible teats than normal which is good if you're ebm. My dd3 wouldn't touch the avent bottles I had with the steriliser I bought, but the ctn bottles fit in the avent steriliser, if thats any help.

Yes, that's a big help, thanks bigcar.
