Will there still be milk 9 + days after last feed?

I think there is.

Dd had a last bf feed last thursday.
She is 2.4. She was only having one at bedtime.

My boobs are sore. And they seem to be fuller in the evening when she would have fed.

I'm feeling a bit sad about it now actually. I was ok at first.

Its all been down to her . She just didn't ask for it last friday amd I didn't remind her. Then a few days in she said 'milk' but I distracted her and she was fine.
I think she'd start again like a shot if I offered it. She has been a bit clingier than usual and has done lots of tummy cuddling. She likes sucking her thumb and putting her cheek on my bare tummy. She usually only does this in bed in the morning when I'm in my pjs and my tummy's there iykwim. But this weekend she's been doing it when we have normal cuddles.

I feel bad

I could re start - if there's milk, but I do think it has to stop some time. Eventually.

Ds1 self weaned at 16 mths. I was gutted after a few days but he was not having any of it again however milk was still evident 6 years later. I was told that I could re lactate at anytime. Although he was well into Lego and star wars by then ;) if your dd wants it and you're ok then yes it can happen

6 years!!!

How did you know? Did it leak or did you express some?

I would've thought so. SIL went to Oz for 2 weeks when one of her DD's was around 3 (DD stayed in UK with grandparents) The 1st thing DD asked for when she met her at the airport on her return was milk - and there was still enough

Aaah thats so sweet.

If she seems to want it tomorrow night then maybe I will. It just seems like a step backwards.

And she's slept SO much better. Not needing to wake and wee. She wont wee on demand before bed.

Apparently not , we are 7 years on and 2 more kids later and his interest shows no signs of waning
